Ashley may be shy at first glance, but behind those quiet eyes is a gentle soul who’s had a rough start and is learning to trust again. She was abandoned near a tire shop in Anaheim, likely dumped at a known cat feeding site. When she first arrived, she was timid and uncertain—understandably so. But despite her fear, Ashley has never shown aggression. She may hiss when unsure, but she’s never bitten or swatted. She's truly all bark and no bite!
Initially brought in as part of a TNR effort (hence her ear tip), Ashley surprised us with how well she did around other kittens and cats. Now in a foster home with other feline friends, she’s thriving socially—with cats, that is! She's still shy around people but slowly warming up. Her foster has been able to pick her up and hold her, and while Ashley may not love it yet, she's making progress.
Ashley needs a patient and understanding foster or adopter who’s willing to put in the time to help her feel safe and loved. With consistency, calm, and care, we believe she’ll blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion. She’s already proven she wants to connect—she just needs someone to help her take the next step.

*** We also offer FeLV/FIV testing and the FeLV vaccine for cats.
The Purrty Pals is a cat rescue on a mission to rescue stray and abused cats and kittens that live on the streets, live in unsuitable or unsafe conditions, and those most at risk of euthanasia in animal shelters. We provide them care through our foster program, improve their quality of life, and find them happy forever homes.
Although many cats love the outdoors, we believe street living is not meant for cats as it poses many dangers to them such as being a potential gateway to contracting infectious diseases, getting injured or abused, all while creating litters of kittens that can grow into an uncontrolled community of cats very quickly. For all these reasons and many more, the outdoors can never provide a cat the healthy, fulfilling life it deserves. The Purrty Pals provides a fighting chance to these homeless and innocent kitties.
Our team is committed to making a difference in reducing the overall stray cat population in our community, while still advocating for the humane treatment of cats.
