My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jakob's Journey: From Abandonment to Hope
A Rocky Start
Jakob's life began under difficult circumstances. Abandoned as a tiny puppy alongside his three siblings, he faced the world without a family or home. Despite this challenging beginning, fortune smiled upon Jakob and his siblings when they were rescued by Barking Mad Animal Rescue. This compassionate organization gave them a second chance at life, providing the care and love they desperately needed.
Life at Barking Mad Animal Rescue
For the past two years, Jakob has called Barking Mad Animal Rescue his home. During this time, he has blossomed into a friendly and playful young dog with a zest for life. Thanks to the dedicated staff and volunteers at the rescue, Jakob and his siblings have developed into well-rounded, socialized pups who are ready to become the newest members of a loving family.
A Perfect Companion
Jakob is an ideal companion for any household. His smaller size makes him an excellent travel buddy, ready to accompany you on adventures big and small. Whether it's a trip to the local park or a cross-country road trip, Jakob is eager to be by your side.
Health and Well-being
Jakob's health has been a top priority at Barking Mad Animal Rescue. He is up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped for safety. Fortunately, Jakob has no known allergies, making him a low-maintenance pet in terms of health concerns.
Social Butterfly
Jakob's friendly nature extends to everyone he meets. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, people, and children, making him a fantastic addition to families of all types. His good recall means he listens well and can enjoy off-leash playtime in safe environments.
A Bright Future Awaits
Jakob is more than ready to leave the rescue behind and embark on the next chapter of his life with a forever family. He has all the qualities you would want in a pet: playful, loving, and ready to fill your home with joy. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will bring happiness and companionship into your life, consider welcoming Jakob into your family. Together, you can create a lifetime of cherished memories.

More about this rescue

BMAR is a No-Kill facility: a place of safety for healthy adoptable animals, a home for the homeless, a haven for the mistreated, neglected, or abused animals of Sabine & surrounding counties. BMAR also runs a sanctuary for those deemed unadoptible due to medical and behavior issues.

100% Volunteer Rescue. We have no animal control, Humane Society, or SPCA operating in our area leaving animals in dire straights.

BMAR is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty & abuse to all animals & livestock.

We currently only adopt to states and Canada where we have a network in place to monitor animals and help with problems.

BMAR backs it's dogs for life and will take back no matter how long and at any time if circumstance arise and you cannot keep your pet.
