ABOUT NOVA
Meet Nova, our feisty tuxedo girl! This kooky lady was brought into HAP as a stray. While the person who found her wanted to keep her because she was so sweet and loving, unfortunately, their cat and hers didn't get along. Nova has been a little less sweet and loving with us, but that's understandable! The shelter is a scary place, and we tend to annoy our kitty friends with our love. Nova is a confident girl who loves to play and explore, but she's a loner. She likes to do things on her own time, in her own way. Her version of affection is allowing you to watch her play with her toys or feed her a treat.

*Nova doesn't get along with other cats, and we don't recommend she go to a home with dogs or children, as she can be sassy.

If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Our adoption process is designed to help you and your family find the perfect match in a pet. When the right match is made, we strive to conduct our adoptions thoughtfully, transparently, and with the utmost respect. You can view and submit an adoption questionnaire online ahead of your visit by going to our website: humaneanimalpartners.org. A questionnaire is not required to come visit us, but we will have you fill one out if interested in meeting with our animals. We strive to make the best match possible for you and for the animals. Most of our pets can go home same-day and come vaccinated, spay/neutered, and microchipped.

We are located in Newark (Christiana), Delaware. Come visit us at 455 Stanton-Christiana Road, Newark (Route 7 behind Royal Farms and Border Cafe)! We're open 6 days a week: Tuesday 12-7, Wednesday thru Sunday 12-5. We are closed on Mondays.
