My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chewie – A True Adventure Mama!
🚁✈️ From Manitoba to Ontario, this brave girl has had quite the journey!

Chewie arrived in Ontario after an incredible trip—by helicopter and airplane—and she’s handled it all with a gentle, curious heart. This sweet mama is still settling in and slowly showing us more of her personality each day.

She warms up to people with time and kindness, and once she trusts you, you’ll see just how special she is. As a former mama, Chewie has a nurturing nature, and we're starting to see her playful, loyal side shine through.

She’s still learning what it means to just be a dog—to play, relax, and trust—but she’s making beautiful progress.

✅ Calm
✅ Gentle soul
✅ Curious and resilient
✅ Working on confidence
✅ Ready to love and be loved

We’re still getting to know Chewie, but one thing’s clear—she deserves a forever home full of patience, love, and soft places to land.

The adoption fee includes

Vaccinations: This includes:

Rabies
Leptospirosis
Distemper
Infectious Hepatitis/Adenovirus
Parvovirus
Parainfluenza
Lyme

Bloodwork: Testing for heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma
Deworming
Spay/Neuter
Microchipping

If the dog required any other vet treatment or surgery while in our care, this is also included in the adoption fee. All known medical information is explained to adopters prior to adoption.

All our dogs come with a leash, collar, toy and a small bag of kibble.

We put a lot of work, time, care and love into each one of these dogs. They are treated like one of our own. We are open and transparent about the dogs in our care.

Additional adoption info

Browse our available dogs and apply for your new best friend today! If your application is selected as a match, you will be contacted by our Adoption Team. The meet and greet is designed for you to get to know the dog and ask questions. It is also for the dog to get to know you. If the meet and greet goes well, the next step is a home visit. At last it is time to take your new fur companion home.
