Princess is a 6.5-year-old, spayed Holland Lop mix. Her foster describes her as curious, silly, and extremely food motivated. She will literally leap into the air to intercept her pellets!!
She is on a special Science Selective Grain-Free diet with minimal greens, as she has a bit of bunny IBS and can get a messy bum if fed too many greens. Daily bum checks and the occasional sani-shaves are needed to keep her feeling her best. Princess also receives Sherwood joint and urinary supplements twice daily, which she thinks are the best treats ever.
Princess loves exploring new spaces and will happily hop around to investigate (and chin) everything. When she is not off on an adventure, you will usually find her snoozing in her house or sitting on her bunny bed waiting for a snack. Food is absolutely her love language.
Princess is hard of hearing and sometimes snores in her sleep, which is not uncommon for brachycephalic lop breeds. Due to unethical breeding practices holland lops are predisposed to ear infections, dental disease, blocked tear ducts, and respiratory infections.
Adopters should be prepared for the potential of higher veterinary costs and be committed to regular exotic-vet care, including proactive health monitoring and early intervention if issues arise. At over 6+ years old, Princess is considered a senior and should see an exotic veterinarian twice a year, with annual bloodwork. A home experienced with lop breeds or senior rabbits is preferred, but those who are willing to learn and provide excellent care are encouraged to reach out.
Princess is looking for a calm, low-energy sanctuary foster or forever home where she can enjoy her golden years being thoroughly loved and spoiled.

SOS FL Animal Rescue is a non-profit rescue for rabbits and guinea pigs. We are animal lovers who are experienced rabbit and guinea pig owners. We both fostered small animals with other rescues for years before meeting each other and deciding to start our own rescue so that more rabbits and guinea pigs could be saved. We take in all rabbits and guinea pigs, including unwanted animals, seniors, and medical cases.
