Roxanne has been with us for over two years due to a cruelty case. Spending that long in a shelter is hard on any dog, and we are concerned that the extended stay has impacted her ability to adjust to new environments. She has recently been cleared for adoption, and we are hopeful she can finally find a home where she can decompress and begin a new chapter.
What Roxanne is working through:
-Not friendly with other dogs and will need to be the only pet
-May struggle with transitions due to long-term shelter living
-Will need patience and structure as she adjusts to life outside the shelter
What we love about her:
-A happy-go-lucky, lovable goofball with a big personality
-Walks beautifully on leash and enjoys her outings
-Playful and loves a good game of fetch (especially keeping the toy)
-Affectionate and cuddly once she’s had her playtime
-Resilient, easygoing, and deeply people-focused
Roxanne’s ideal home:
Roxanne is looking for a calm, stable home where she can be the only pet and finally experience life outside the shelter. A predictable routine, patience, and a willingness to let her decompress at her own pace will be key to her success. After everything she has endured, Roxanne deserves a home where she can feel safe, loved, and truly settled.
