Though timid at first, she’s incredibly friendly and warms up with a little patience and soft encouragement. Once she feels safe, she enjoys curling up near you while you work or relax—just happy to be part of the moment.
Cuddles is learning to appreciate the finer comforts of being an inside dog! She has excellent potty manners and is making progress on leash walking. She sleeps peacefully in her crate at night and gets along great with her foster’s resident dogs. With her gentle nature and eagerness to connect, Cuddles has so much love to give, and a calm, caring environment is just what she needs to help her blossom. On a recent sleepover, Cuddles came face to face with a kitten, they just checked each other out and went on their way. No negative reaction on either side..

Located in central North Carolina and officially established in 2004, Saving Grace has placed over 15,000 dogs into homes since its inception. These dogs were from rural animal control facilities with little resources and who would otherwise not had the opportunity to receive necessary veterinary care and a chance at adoption. While we have grown significantly over the years and have been successful growing our numbers we still see many great dogs miss the opportunity of adoption.
We have a large variety of dogs varying in breed, size, shape, age and needs and would love to work with you to find you a great dog companion while providing a dog in need with a loving home. Our dogs are chosen based on temperament and socialization. We get some of the most charming, unique mix breeds as well as some striking purebreds. Our dogs come from rural, underserved areas and while they may have little experience as an indoor family member, they have the temperament and personality that is sure to bring much love and appreciation to their new home. Most have started their crate training while in our program. Veterinary care including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test, vaccinations, monthly preventatives are provided prior to each adoption.
