Adoption steps
- Submit Application

- Approve Application
- We require pets to be current on core vaccinations, verify that renters are allowed to have pets, and that there are not breed restrictions.
- Sign Adoption Contract
- Pay Fee
- Cats range from $90 to $150; Dogs range from $100 to $250. Based on age, size, breed.
- Take the Pet Home
- All pets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.

LCHS, Inc. is the ONLY organization working to build and operate a 21st century no-kill pet animal shelter to serve all Leavenworth County residents.
