My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Khaleesi is losing the only home she's ever known but we don't know where she can go next. She's been in her foster home for 7 months without capturing the attention of her next people. Her foster mom has truly given her every opportunity to have a wonderful life in her care so this big change is going to come with some hard times for Khaleesi. She's always had someone to share her adventures, throw her ball, appease her wants and meet all her needs and we are concerned she won't understand. Her foster mom has some life changes causing her to need to end her current relationship with Khaleesi ASAP and we need some extra assistance this AM sharing this precious pup so she can find another landing spot. Please don't scroll by thinking someone else will help. We need you. Below are some things her amazing foster mom has to say:
Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix
Age: A year and 7 months, approx.
Gender: Female
Weight: Approx 48 lbs
Crate Trained, Potty Trained, High energy, Loves Dogs and People
Today is my seven month foster-versary with this sweet girl. She puts a smile on everyone's face she meets and she is just the happiest girl. She loves life and is up for any adventure! Kahleesi would do best in a home with someone with a fence or an active individual who likes to walk. She loves being outside and sniffing all the things. She's been around kids and also loves them, but since she gets excited, older kiddos who can manage her would be best. Have tons of property? Even better! She is very loving, sweet and enjoys lots of pets and cuddles...especially in the morning.
She's currently in day training at doggy daycare and is rocking it! I want her to have the best life ever and I feel like we've put the work in to give her that. She is extremely adorable, silly and smart. I hope someone sees this post that appreciates a working dog breed. She is the best.

More about this rescue

Home 2 Home Canine Orphanage believes in placing dogs in homes that are compatible to their needs. Dogs are matched based off of home/fencing limitations, temperaments, family dynamics, etc. This means less emotional turmoil for owners who adopt a dog that doesn't fit and more stability for the dogs. Our rehab process is completely different than traditional shelters. Dogs are placed in an environment, a foster home, that allows them to decompress and show their true personality before meeting with a potential family. Our goal is to give our dogs a better life before you adopt them and to make sure that we are pairing people appropriately to minimize the risk of return.
