My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Leonard. I’m a 1-2 year old lab mix (I think?) I came from a pretty scary situation and almost didn’t make it out of that shelter but I’m glad to be here in my new foster home. My foster mom gave me a bath and has already taken me for a couple walks (which I love but was a little confused with the concept at first). My foster mom says I’m getting to be a good leash walker though so that’s good I guess! I’m a very happy guy as you can see in my pictures. I’m a little unsure about other boy dogs right now so I might be better in a home with only a female dog or maybe as the only pet! There are no cats or kids in my foster home so not sure about them either. I swear I’m the happiest and sweetest guy and will stick to my human like glue (clingy in a good way 🤗) so I’d love to meet my forever family soon!

More about this rescue

Home 2 Home Canine Orphanage believes in placing dogs in homes that are compatible to their needs. Dogs are matched based off of home/fencing limitations, temperaments, family dynamics, etc. This means less emotional turmoil for owners who adopt a dog that doesn't fit and more stability for the dogs. Our rehab process is completely different than traditional shelters. Dogs are placed in an environment, a foster home, that allows them to decompress and show their true personality before meeting with a potential family. Our goal is to give our dogs a better life before you adopt them and to make sure that we are pairing people appropriately to minimize the risk of return.
