My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maya is a 10-month-old female who is high energy most of the time. She is a loving spirit and is very sociable with people and other dogs. Most of the time she is a happy/joyful puppy. She is a real sweetheart! She loves to be played with and loved on!

**Please note Maya’s requirements below before submitting an application**

She enjoys being outside running in the fenced yard with the other dogs or just exploring. *She will need a fenced yard*.

Maya is learning to walk on a leash, she is about 8 lbs. and is tallish for a Bichon. Maya may bark when adjusting to new environments or when she's excited. She is currently living with four other dogs. *It is unknown how she reacts to cats so a home without cats is required*.

She is oriented towards toys and will fetch a toy and bring it back to you. She is also content to chew on bone like toys. Some of her favorite things include sitting on the couch snuggling with her mom, playing with the other dogs, playing with her toys, or taking a ride in the car. Maya is willing to share a lap when encouraged to do so. She is crate trained but prefers to sleep in the bed with her mom. She is working on house training.

Maya would make a great addition for someone with patience and a lot of energy! She is good with children, but children in the home should be at least 10.

Patience and time will be greatly rewarded as she is eager to please but is all puppy energy.

She enjoys time with her foster family but is ready to be in a permanent home where someone will cuddle and love her for the rest of her life.

**Please note that Maya will need a *small, young, friendly, energetic dog* already living in the forever home chosen for her.

**Children in the home need to be at least 10 years old. Maya also needs a fenced yard and a home without cats. **There are no exceptions to these requirements**. These requirements help ensure that Maya adjusts well and thrives in her new environment.
