My name is Raisin!

Raisin is a spunky 2–3-year-old Beagle mix with a big heart and a love for life. Weighing in around 30 lbs (though she’s still working on gaining a few healthy pounds), Raisin is sweet, energetic, and adores being with people. She does great with other dogs and would thrive in an active household with a fenced yard or a love for daily walks. Like any good Beagle, she’s got a strong nose and a stronger love for snacks! Raisin is spayed, microchipped, and current on Rabies, Bordetella, and one round of Distemper and Lepto. Her final boosters are due in June 2025 to complete her vaccination series.

The first step in our adoption process is submitting an application through our website. Simply visit: https://www.hoovesandpaws.org/shelterluv.html, click on the pet’s photo to view their full bio, then click “Apply for Adoption” to get started.

Please give us a few days to review your application. If approved, you’ll receive an email from adoptions@hoovesandpaws.org to schedule a meet and greet (including any necessary dog-to-dog introductions).

If the meet and greet goes well and you’d like to move forward, we’ll schedule a home check—this means we’ll bring your new furry friend to your home ourselves. This helps ensure a smooth transition and gives your new pup a familiar face upon arrival. We’ll finalize the adoption at that time!
