My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet mama is deserving of so much love. She has been in my home since April and is such a great mom. She nursed about 13 kittens, only five she gave birth to!
After living outdoors and having a previous litter, she does great as an indoor cat! She has found her voice and tells the babies she's done. She makes the cutest sounds when playing with toys. It's darling. She's about two years old.
Mama does absolutely fine with the other cats in my home, and is now fully integrated into the house. I find her on different furniture or animal beds! If I call her up, she joins me even if another cat is already there. This is huge! She doesn't like to be held, but she will come for long sessions of petting and is very accepting of it. She has a good appetite. She does shed.

More about this rescue

Founded in 2020, Friends of Felines Rescue initially began in Rio Linda and now proudly serves both Rio Linda and its surrounding areas. Our mission is simple: to tackle cat overpopulation while supporting local communities. We're all about nurturing and protecting our furry friends by providing loving foster homes for orphaned, sick, and injured cats until they're healthy and ready for their forever homes. We're big advocates for spaying and neutering, not just for our beloved pets but also for our community cat colonies. As a volunteer-driven nonprofit, we're dedicated to the art of Trap-Neuter-Return, lending a helping paw by providing free training on trapping, traps for those in need, and information on low-cost surgeries. We rescue kittens and friendly strays, prepping them for loving families. Our aim? Spreading love and care for our cat friends!
