My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nala came to EASEL as a “stray” with our Rottweiler, Simba. We quickly realized the story we were given wasn’t their reality and no one was coming for them. She was very skinny with bad skin and absolutely terrified of us. As time went on she began to trust us, and with extra feedings and some TLC she has blossomed into a wonderful girl. She is estimated to be about 7 years old with some initial grays poking through on her muzzle. She’s a petite girl who walks well on leash and knows several basic commands. Nala is food motivated and has a silly and playful side to her that we are just starting to see. She has a forgiving heart and is learning not all humans are bad and she’ll never live a life like what she came from. She is ready to continue to heal and find a forever home with a loving family who will give her a chance. With a little patience we know you’ll see the special girl we see! If interested in meeting Nala please stop by the shelter during visiting hours or apply online Adoption by appointment only with an approved adoption application. Please go to www.easelnj.org/adopt to submit an adoption application. Someone will be in touch within 48 hours.
