My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chernobyl!

This stunning 2-year-old white cat came to Al-Van as a young mama with a litter of kittens. She raised them with care, and now she's ready to strike out on her own.

Chernobyl is a bit shy at first and prefers to approach on her own terms, but with a little patience and a calm environment, she blossoms into a gentle, affectionate companion. She’s the kind of cat who may not demand attention but will steal your heart with soft purrs and quiet loyalty.

She tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but don’t let that scare you! FIV+ cats like Chernobyl can live long, happy lives with regular vet care and a stress-free home. She would do best in a home with no other cats or with other FIV+ companions. Chernobyl has become close with her young friend Crumpit (also FIV+), and while they don’t have to be adopted together, they make a lovely pair and bring out the best in each other.

If you’re the kind of person who finds joy in earning a cat’s trust and giving them the love they deserve, Chernobyl might just be your purr-fect match.
