Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**The first step to adopting from MO Min Pin Rescue is to complete the online adoption application. A good vet reference and heartworm prevention are required.
We do not arrange transport, and you will be responsible for coming to us to get your dog.
Meet Tinkerbell! Also known as Tinker and Tinker-ballerini! Tinker is a black and tan Min Pin, about 12 years old, and 10 lbs. She’s a sweet little lady looking for a quiet place to settle into her retirement years.
She is an owner surrender due to veterinary care that they could not afford. Tinker was recently spayed and had several mammary tumors removed, also had a dental and a small growth in her mouth addressed. She came through the surgery like a champ and is all healed up and ready to go. Tinker can co-exist with other dogs but doesn’t enjoy them in her face or trying to play with her. She’s too dignified for that! Tinker would also be happy as an only pet. She enjoys snuggling in her kennel with a soft bed and blanket or on the couch with her person (also with a soft blanket).
Tinker does not need a lot of exercise and will go potty outside on a good schedule. She LOVES small treats – as shown by her little prance and smile when it’s ‘treat time’. Tinker is a little shy at first and will take a little time to warm up, but once she trusts you, it will be a beautiful relationship.
Please no small children, as they move too fast and don’t understand boundaries yet. Older children who are respectful of her space would be fine. Tinker’s ideal home would be with someone who understands seniors and appreciates their wisdom. She just wants a soft spot in a quiet home, to call her own.
Her foster mom loves her and would adopt but already has multiple dogs (a couple who are young, crazy hooligans) and does not have the ideal setup for Tinker. She is being fostered in the Kansas City area. Do you think Tinker-ballerini may be for you? Please apply and let’s talk!
