Lionel is a giant sweetheart and loves to be involved. He wants to be pet and cuddled all the time. He loves to jump and climb, and sit in front of the window to watch the day go by. He has a beautiful voice and uses it to say “good morning”, “welcome home” and especially -- “I miss you.” He loves chasing his own tail, feathered toys, and scratching at his cardboard post. He is very active at night and needs his own little nook to calm down and sooth himself before he falls asleep, otherwise you’ll hear him chasing back and forth for a while. He is very interested in his foster parents’ resident cat and wants to hang out all the time, but also has lots of solo time to himself.

Quirks:
Will scream hello hi do you see me when you’re cooking or preparing his food
Does not like to be picked up at all, but will hang like a little doll with no movement if you can catch him

Note from the foster family: Lionel is a sweet boy, would probably do great in a home with a young cat who wants to play, definitely needs his own space at night or will keep you up. Lovely boy, sheds a lot, very sweet and just a funny lil’ dude!

Lionel has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV+ cats can live long happy lives with a good diet, low stress, indoor homes, loving families, and annual vet check-ins. They don't require medication and can live in a home with other non-FIV+ cats, as the virus is only passed to other cats by blood (i.e. deep bite marks) and can't be passed to dogs or humans. Please don't judge them based on a blood test!
