My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB: Feb 13, 2016

Carmen is being fostered at one of Toronto Cat Rescue’s pet store partner locations. Please note that if you’re approved to adopt, you’ll need to pick them up from the store within 24 hours of being approved.

Meet Carmen – a soft, fluffy gray and white sweetheart with nine years of experience in the art of purring, head bumps, and loving companionship.

From the moment you meet her, Carmen’s gentle spirit is impossible to miss. One gaze into her soulful eyes, and her purr motor rumbles to life. She loves being close to her person—often pressing her forehead to yours in a quiet show of affection. A warm lap and a hand ready for gentle rubs are all it takes to win her heart. It’s how she finds comfort and connection when the world feels a bit too big. Carmen will trill sweetly to get your attention and still enjoys playful moments, showing her fun-loving side.

New environments can make Carmen a bit anxious, and she may retreat to a cozy, quiet spot to observe from a distance at first. But give her some gentle chin rubs and soft pats, and she’ll reward you with deep purrs and a heartwarming presence.

Though she hasn’t yet mingled with other cats at the adoption center, she’s been soaking up love from her caregivers and adjusting at her own pace. Carmen is independent and calm when left alone, content to rest quietly while waiting for your return.

Because she can get overstimulated with too much petting—particularly around her head—she’d do best in a home without young children. A patient, understanding adopter will appreciate her boundaries and be endlessly rewarded by her love.

Carmen is ready for the comfort and safety of a forever home, where she can spend her golden years feeling secure, cherished, and close to someone who understands her.

Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated, vs. our standard adult cat adoption fee of $225.
