Zelie (zeh-lee) doesn’t just walk into a room—she bounces, tail wagging, eyes shining, as if to say, “Hi! I’ve been waiting my whole life to meet you!” At just a few months old (estimated DOB 3/20/25) and already around 20 pounds, this Retriever mix is growing fast, but her heart might be the biggest thing about her.
She’s the kind of puppy who makes you believe in goodness. Happy, affectionate, and endlessly curious, Zelie greets the world with a wide-open heart. She’s never met a stranger—just friends she hasn’t kissed yet.
Zelie adores other dogs and would be thrilled to have a playful canine companion in her forever home, but she'd also be fine being the center of attention! She did wonderfully with the young children she met, and her foster says she’s an “all-around good girl” who’s eager to love and be loved. She’s still learning the ropes, as all puppies do, but she’s smart, willing, and already mastering the art of making people smile.
Her face may rotate between “grumpy,” “concerned,” and “pure sunshine,” but make no mistake—Zelie is joy on four legs. She’s ready to grow up in a home filled with kindness, laughter, and lots of squeaky toys. And if you’re ready for unconditional love wrapped in a fuzzy, floppy package… Zelie’s been waiting just for you. Her minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
