DOB April 9, 2023- FIV POSITIVE

Muffin is a super sweet and friendly cat who loves being around people. He enjoys cuddling, sleeping next to you, and will gently ask for pets with a little nudge.
He goes absolutely wild for Churu treats, catnip, and loves chasing a laser pointer. He is playful, loving, and would make a wonderful companion.

Muffin has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV+ cats can live long happy lives with a good diet, low stress, indoor homes, loving families, and annual vet check-ins. They don't require medication and can live in a home with other non-FIV+ cats, as the virus is only passed to other cats by blood (i.e. deep bite marks) and can't be passed to dogs or humans. Please don't judge them based on a blood test!

Muffin also has a grade IV heart murmur (likely Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy), which doesn’t need treatment now, but a follow-up with the vet in 6-9 months is recommended.
