My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hazel: A Blue-Eyed Petite Sweetheart!

1 year old, 44lb Hazel will catch you with her striking blue eyes and keep you hooked with her sweet and gentle personality. She’s a bit on the shy side at first, but she loves people, and if you’re willing to go slowly with her she will warm up to you in no time.

Hazel has a very playful personality—she loves running around the yard and playing with her foster sibling, but she’s just as happy playing with a Kong or rubber ball. She is also very respectful and balanced, knowing when it’s time to settle while the humans are busy at work. We believe Hazel would do well in a home with another dog, but could also be a nice solo companion. We also think she could do well in a home with a cat! She is house trained, crate trained, and excellent on leash. Adopt this petite pittie mix to brighten up your home!

To meet Hazel, please fill out an adoption form on dogcoalitionla.org/adopt and follow @dogcoaltionla for updates!

More about this rescue

We are a group of volunteers and rescuers combining our skills to help fosters get a dog out of the shelter! The dogs in our program have begun house, crate, and leash training. Our fosters follow a handful of house rules. The transition to a new home is easiest for your dog when these structures are carried over for some time and privileges are gradually introduced. This helps minimize anxiety and behavioral issues.
