My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact Shelly (shelly.sawyers@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.

Being a superhero, SPIDEY knows that “with great power comes great responsibility," so he races from room to room, cruising around checking on everything & everyone! He definitely wants to "help out" if you're working or watching TV. Spidey absolutely LOVES playing & snoozing with other cats (AND dogs!), but like most superhero types, when it comes to people--he's gotta get to know them before he can trust ‘em! We're not sure if he's partial to men in general--but we gotta admit, he prefers Foster DAD hands-down to any of the Foster Family females!(LOL--we try not to take it PURRsonally!) Spidey's epic feature is his gorgeous Tabby fur coat with its cool dark swirls, spirals, & stripes. He's whip-smart, independent, & likes routine: once he knows what to expect, he's on it & is immediately underfoot, especially at supper & treat time. Spidey's been seriously searching for HIS hero: someone who wants him to be a part of their safe, loving, forever superfamily! So how about YOU!?!

Go meet their pets

Some of our cats ready for adoption can be seen at the following Adoption Center locations:

PetSmart, located at 12835 Citrus Park Dr across from the Citrus Park Mall. Our volunteers are onsite for adoptions Saturday and Sunday from 12:00pm to 5:00pm and will be happy to assist you with finding the perfect feline companion. PetSmart management can assist with an adoption during other days/hours, time permitting. Cats are onsite 7 days a week.

PetSmart, located at 11331 Causeway Blvd in Brandon. Cats and adoption counselors are onsite for adoptions Saturday from 11:00am to 3:00pm and Sunday from 12:00pm to 2:30pm only.

Petco, located at 13127 N Dale Mabry Hwy. Cats and adoption counselors are onsite Saturdays from 11:00am to 4:00pm only.

We have many more cats than the ones housed at our Adoption Center locations. Our cats live with foster families until they are ready for adoption and space is available at an Adoption Center. If a cat is located in a foster home and the foster has provided contact information, you can get more details on a particular cat directly from them.

More about this rescue

St. Francis Society Animal Rescue is an all volunteer, non-profit 501-c-3 animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of sick, injured, and stray domestic animals as well as spay/neuter and medical services for those animals. We seek to place animals in a loving foster or permanent home after recovery and we DO NOT euthanize unless terminal illness necessitates such a decision. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, tested for leukemia/FIV (cats), wormed and vaccinated before they are adopted.
