I'm a sweet girl just out and about looking for a great place to land after weaning my kittens. Do you have just the spot for me?

I have feline herpesvirus, this means I have a disease that makes me more prone to URI's (upper respiratory infections) aka a kitty cold. FHV cats can live long and healthy lives with stress management and vet care. I am a pretty healthy girl, but due to me having FHV, its safer for me to either be an only cat or go to a home with other FHV cats.

If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come.

All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, are treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention and dewormed #adoptdontshop

Our Shelter is open every day from 10am-4pm, except Sundays. On Sundays, we are open from noon-4pm.

We are open for walk-ins, but we recommend appointments because some of our pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment with another potential adopter. We just don't want you to come to our location and be disappointed if you can't meet a pet you are interested in.
