My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mamba is a sweet and sensitive 5-year-old boy who found his way to us after his previous owners had a baby and felt he might struggle with the changes in the household. Mamba does have some personality quirks that need a little extra patience and understanding. He’s not fond of sudden movements and prefers not to have his ears touched. When he arrived at the rescue, he had a pretty bad face and ear infection, so it’s possible that some of his reactivity stemmed from pain or discomfort.

With a slow, gentle approach and the right space to feel comfortable and safe, Mamba opens up and shows his true, affectionate nature. He’s a wonderful little guy who enjoys the company of people he trusts. He will take some time to warm up to you but with slow and patient dedication to him he will thrive! He isn't the biggest fan of being around other dogs so he would do best as your one and only. Due to his sensitivity, he would also do best in a home without young children and with someone who can be patient as he learns to trust.

Mamba is looking for an experienced, understanding owner who can give him the time and attention he needs to flourish. With the right person, Mamba will truly blossom and become the loving companion he’s meant to be. If you're interested in helping this sweet boy reach his full potential, please inquire today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
