My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Zander — A Gentle Soul With So Much Love to Give ☀️🐾 He is a real love bug and enjoys being snuggled in your arms or lap or petted as he lies next to you. He was a very shy boy at first, but has discovered the joys of being loved and now just deeply wants to bond. Once he feels secure and you scoop him up, he melts into pampering, pets, and lap time. He’s the kind of cat who will quietly steal your heart — not with boldness, but with trust.

Zander loves to sunbathe in cozy spots, relax in peaceful environments, and cuddle up with other cats. In fact, he must go to a home with a friendly feline companion — he’s always playing, co-sleeping, and gaining confidence from his cat friends at the Catio. His happiest moments are spent curled up with another kitty or chasing spring toys during playtime.

Calm, gentle, and quiet, Zander will thrive in a patient and loving home that understands shy cats and gives them room to blossom. With time, he’ll be your soft napping buddy, your sunshine window partner, and your tender lap companion.

If you have a warm heart and a resident cat who would love a sweet, playful friend, Zander may be the perfect match. He's at our Punta Mita, Mx location and can easily be flown to the nearest airport to YOU in the USA or Canada!💛

More about this rescue

Two women, one American, and one Mexican met in Sayulita through their mutual concern for the many sick, abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs and cats in the area.

They began working together informally to rescue, rehabilitate, and find homes for these animals. Their efforts eventually led to the formation of Wet Noses Rescue, which has grown from a small backyard operation to an expanding nonprofit housed on a property with dedicated facilities in Punta de Mita. Providing the animals with health care, rehabilitation, socialization, and careful evaluation which is needed for a successful adoption to new homes in the United States and Canada.

Wet Noses Rescue also provides Spay/Neuter clinics in the local community to reduce overpopulation and vaccinations to reduce the prevalence of serious diseases such as Parvo and Distemper.
