My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dog – A Tiny Tabby with a Big Personality

Don’t let the name fool you—Dog is all cat. This petite grey tabby has beautiful stripes, delicate white paws, a sweet pink nose edged in black, and stunning golden eyes that always seem to be watching and wondering. She's small in size but fearless at heart.

Dog was the smallest of her litter but the bravest by far—when she was just a feral kitten, she was the first to take food and the first to step through an open door. Now, she’s a curious explorer who loves discovering cozy hideaways, chasing string toys, and cuddling at night (but only on her terms). While she’s not always a lap cat, she adores being near her person and will stare at you with love from the nearest window perch until you offer some well-deserved scritches.

What to Know:
Dog can be a little standoffish at first—she wants to know what you’re all about. But once you pass her test (usually involving a toy on a string), she’s yours. She’ll seek out affection, cozy up with you at bedtime, and charm you with her independent spirit and golden eyes.

Dog’s Rescue Story:
Dog and her siblings were born to a feral mom who brought them to the porch of a kind stranger. Dog was the first to eat, the first to play, and the first to step inside. Her boldness made her stand out immediately. Sadly, due to a sudden family crisis, her rescuer must urgently move and cannot take the cats along. Dog is a gem of a cat who deserves a home full of love, patience, and cozy windows.

Additional adoption info

We are a foster based rescue and all our kitties live with their foster families until they find their furever homes. We get to know our kitties and can answer questions regarding behaviors and personality.

Our adoption process is a little different than a traditional shelter. We ask that potential adopters complete an application and brief phone screen. Meet and greets are scheduled at our adoption events or with the foster.

More about this rescue

Our group's founders came from other cat rescue groups as we wanted to accept the cats others would not accept; older animals, injured, FIV positive and black cats/kittens. We also assist with TNR and have several traps to loan. We are small and informal, and always welcome new volunteers in any capacity.
