Hi, I’m Gatita. 🤍

I’m a 5-year-old Domestic Shorthair girl, quietly waiting and hoping my forever person finds me.

I’ll be honest — I’m very shy and sensitive at first. New places and big changes can feel overwhelming, and when I’m scared, I don’t always know what to do with those big feelings. That’s why patience means everything to me. Please don’t rush me. Just give me time, soft voices, and space to settle in.

Once I feel safe, though? That’s when you’ll see the real me.

I become a loving, calm little companion who enjoys gentle pets, forehead kisses, and simply being near you. I don’t need constant attention or chaos — I just like quiet company. Sitting together in the same room is more than enough to make me happy.

I’m very vocal (I’ll chat with you!), incredibly smart, loyal, sweet, and fully potty trained. I thrive in a peaceful environment where my boundaries are respected and my signals are understood.

My dream home would be calm and quiet, with one to three people. Someone who works from home or is retired would be perfect, since I feel safest when my human is around often. I do need to be the only pet — no other cats and no dogs — so I can feel completely secure in my space.

I’ve been through some things in my life, and because of that, I need someone who truly listens to me. If you allow me to move at my own pace and give me space when I ask for it, I promise you something very special: deep trust, steady loyalty, and a quiet love that feels safe and real.

A Mercy Full Project (MFP) Adoption Application MUST BE COMPLETED in order for you to be considered as a potential adopter. By filling out the MFP Adoption Application you agree and understand that ADOPTION IS NOT GUARANTEED. We are not first come, first served and submitting an application does NOT guarantee adoption. All Dogs / Puppies / Cats / Kittens are up to date on age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, flea/heart worm prevention, and are microchipped prior to adoption. If you are meeting a puppy or kitten that is not ready for adoption there may be a waiting period until they are fully ready to go home.

Adoption fee - Along with the individual animals vetting and daily care costs, the adoption fee helps Mercy Full Project cover additional vet bills, maintain their facility, and cover the cost of their operations in order to rescue more animals in need.
