My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Snubble, a sweet and resilient 9.5-year-old girl who’s been through a lot, but still has so much love to give. Snubble was originally confiscated from a hoarding situation and ended up spending a full year at a city shelter while legal proceedings dragged on. Once she was finally released, she came to us — and has now been with us for a year and a half as we’ve worked through her medical needs.

Snubble has a chronic gastrointestinal condition (IBS) that causes ongoing digestive issues. She’ll always have soft stool and some straining, and her condition flares with stress and certain foods. It’s managed with daily medication and a very specific diet, and while it’s a lifelong condition, she’s been doing much better with consistent care. Her future adopter will need to be prepared to continue that routine and keep her stable and comfortable.

Despite all of this, Snubble is a truly wonderful dog. She’s incredibly affectionate and loves to snuggle up with her people. She gets along well with other dogs of all energy levels and has a very mellow, gentle personality. A calm home where she can truly relax would be ideal for her.

Snubble has been through more than most dogs ever should, but she remains full of love and trust. What she really needs now is a calm, caring home where she can finally exhale and feel safe. Snubble has waited a long time for her happy ending. She’s been overlooked again and again, simply because her care requires a little extra effort. But we promise, she is so worth it. She will fill your home with soft snuggles and deep, grateful love. If you’re the kind of person who believes in second chances and sees beauty in imperfection, Snubble just might be your perfect match. Please inquire today to learn more about giving her the loving home she’s been waiting for!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
