Riot is a super sweet 4.5 year, 130 pound big baby & the most sweet, affectionate, friendly, handsome boy. He is super easy as he sleeps most of the time. He wants to be with you & will follow you to whatever room you go into. He gives “gentle kisses” & you can apply “gentle” to anything you tell him. Riot is also great with kids!
Riot needs slow intros to other dogs but has happily lived with a 45 pound dog for over a year as well as many female puppy fosters.
Riot needs a foster home for a couple months while his pawrent moves. The ideal home would have no dogs, but he could be introduced to one other easy going dog. If that sounds like you, please consider him and reach out so we can discuss. If not, please share with your network. Thank you.
Red Fern Animal Rescue offers a two week foster to adopt trial in your home before finalizing the adoption to ensure the animal is the right fit for you, everyone in the home, human & animal, and vice versa.
Red Fern Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based animal rescue in Denver that saves animals from abandonment and neglect in South Texas for new lives in Colorado. We primarily rescue dogs off the streets and from kill shelters in San Antonio.

Submit foster application if you only wish to foster, and an adoption application if you wish to adopt or foster with the intent of adoption

After your app is submitted, we will reach out to have a conversation and schedule a time for you to meet the pet
Approve Application
If you decide to move forward after the meet and greet we will officially approve your application
Take the Pet Home
After your app is approved, we will complete foster or adoption paperwork and you will take the pet home
