My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🌟 Anette: The Queen of Adventure! 🚗

Ready for a coonhound? Meet Anette, a gorgeous 4-year-old Redbone Coonhound mix who is here to prove that life is better in the fast lane (especially if it leads to a drive-thru treat!). Anette is a dog of discerning tastes—she adores her people and is famous for being super affectionate and a truly phenomenal adventure buddy. If you need a co-pilot for road trips, hiking trails, or just long walks in the park, Anette is your girl! She loves car rides and is always ready for whatever fun you have planned.

Anette has her preferences, and she's upfront about them! She is looking for a home where she can be your one-and-only pet, meaning no children, cats, or resident dogs, please. While she can happily meet and play with dog friends outside of the home, her heart is set on reigning solo in her living space. On the plus side, she's perfectly housetrained and does wonderfully with adults who understand her need for a little space. If you are a dog lover looking for a loyal, spunky companion who will cover you in cuddles after a long day of adventuring, Anette is ready to move in!

More about this shelter

At Darbster Rescue, our goal is to place kittens, cats, and dogs with great, forever homes in New England. The pets are primarily from South Florida and other southern states where the euthanasia rates are very high. Our shelters are in New Hampshire which has a strong demand for pets relative to supply and where shelters like ours are strictly no kill operations. Our animals will go to their new homes spayed or neutered, UTD on shots and a clean bill of health from FL and NH. We are here to help everyone look for the perfect match for themselves and their family.
