My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Help us find a match! Tom (white and grey) and Jerry (solid grey tabby) are a couple of sweet, lovable boys with a tricky story.

Their original owner lived in a motel. He loved them, cared for them... but then sadly passed away, leaving them without a home. A kind woman accepted the brothers into her home, and they have been with her for the last year.

Their caretaker says Tom is very smart and outgoing, but he doesn't understand that he shouldn't use his claws on furniture and woodwork in her home, and can unfortunately be very destructive. She says she has tried clipping his nails (which he is great with, and allows her to do), has put covers over his nails that worked a little while, and has even tried to eliminate the 'issue areas' in her home, for example putting covers or two-sided tape on the door he continued to scratch, but unfortunately nothing has solved the issue. Despite being an otherwise wonderful kitty, Tom's clawing habit is too big of a problem for her.

Jerry is a different kitty than his brother! The caretaker says he is shy, but so so sweet. He's not dominant at all, but instead will wait patiently for his turn at the food dish or the head scratches from their caretaker. He doesn't feel the same desire to scratch things up (though for health and to assist with their natural instincts, EVERY kitty should be given a scratcher toy or two in their home!)

The caretaker says these 2-year old boys are both VERY sweet, completely lovable, playful, and love to soak up petting from their people. With as dominant as Tom is around his brother she believes separating them might actually be beneficial so Jerry can be "first" in someone's world, though they've lived together their whole lives, so placement together in a forever home is definitely an option!

So here we are now, looking for a perfect home (or 2!) for these boys. Tom will need somewhere that claws aren't a big deal, where patience and understanding will allow them to be the cats they were born to be (claws and all) for their forever. If you have that space in your home, please let us know by filling out an application!! If you know someone who might have that space, please share this information with them! Please help us find the 'right fit' for these handsome boys!

Additional adoption info

Adoption requirements include an application that tells us something about the adoptive family and authorizes us to contact the family's vet for references, a phone or in-person interview, and at the director's discretion, home visitation. We provide an adoption contract that lists the animal's current and anticipated health care and delineates the owner's and our responsibilities. Each kitten has a 2-week satisfaction guarantee which provides a full refund for animals returned within the 2-week time frame. Our typical adoption fees are $200 per Siamese Wannabe and $250 per Siamese mixes and Siamese and some others.

More about this rescue

We are a small, grass-roots volunteer effort dedicated to easing the problems faced by unwanted Siamese cats and kittens and their non-Siamese cousins. We use foster homes for our animals to provide them with a warm and loving environment from which to be adopted; we give all of our animals excellent vet care to ensure they have a good start in life. We offer education and advice on cat care and cat behavior issues; we provide courtesy listings for adoptable pets for free on our web site. We provide support to indigent owners (emergency food and vet care assistance) as we are able and offer advice and assistance on resolving landlord pet issues (including ADA therapy pet designation). We are dedicated to making life easier for the animals who love and trust us and look to us for their safety, security, and happiness. The problems are large and we are small but we try hard to make a difference for cats at risk.
