We would like to present a five star dog named Frito for adoption. He was a stray pickup on the side of the road at 3.5 months. Frito is a sweet, small, Yellow lab mix. He is about 6 months old, 29 pounds. When he is full grown, he should be about 45 pounds. He is neutered, UTD shots, & does not need meds. Frito is adorable, alert, smart, sensitive to correction, & very eager to please. He is a handsome, playful puppy. Frito is easy to train, likes his crate, & is 95% crate trained. Frito does not bark, drool, chew shoes, tip trashcans, charge the door, dart away, or counter surf. (Amazing, I know!) Frito is very people friendly & would be great with all kids. Frito is dog friendly & well socialized with Male & Female dogs of varying activity levels from 9 to 70 pounds. They all become his friend. Frito is pretty chill so I think he’d do well with cats but would need an appropriate introduction. Frito likes to eat & has NO Food aggression. He eats his kibble calmly & completely. He is not a grazer or a gulper. He is food motivated which makes training a snap.
Frito is "Amazing" on a leash. Does not pull, lead, lag, or cross. I walk him with 3 other larger dogs & he is happy in the middle of the pack. He likes to pick up a stick & just carry it in his mouth. He sees chipmunks & squirrels but does not lunge after them. Just notices them & keeps going. He is curious but not destructive (unless you’re a stick). He does great in the car (2.5 hour ride - no prob), sat quietly at my feet in an outdoor restaurant even with people & dogs walking by! He knows some commands - s it, off, back, home, wait, bed, go potty, no, eh! the " Come" command is at about 90% successful. 100% successful with a treat. T his fabulous puppy is ready for an amazing home!
