Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ADOPT Ruby, the spirited red Doberman!
Ruby is a stunning 3-year-old female Doberman with a velcro personality—she bonds deeply and prefers to stick close to her chosen person. She's looking for a home where someone is present most of the time to keep her company and provide the reassurance she thrives on. Ruby has a big heart but can be a little uncertain at first, which she expresses with a deep grumble; however, once she feels safe, her loyalty and affection shine through. She tends to pick one special person in the household to be her favorite, making her the ultimate companion. Ruby would do best with someone who understands her sensitive nature and can offer her the consistency she needs.
Ruby requires a physically fenced yard. She is good with other calm dogs and will need a home without cats or children.
Ruby is located in Evansville, IN. While out-of-state adopters are welcome, they must come meet Ruby in person to finalize her adoption. All resident dogs are required to attend the meet and greet.

More about this rescue
Bluegrass Doberman Rescue was formed to provide a needed service to the Doberman rescue community based in the state of Kentucky. Although the rescue itself was just formed in 2017, the volunteers behind it have over 10 years of experience in rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming Dobermans. We are committed to helping purebred Dobermans find their forever homes as well as educating the public about this often misunderstood breed. We understand that not everyone can own a Doberman but we are also here to provide support to those who do. We believe this rescue should be a cooperative effort between all volunteers and a collaborative effort between rescues to help this wonderful breed of dogs we all love.
