Hi my name is Marty and I like to party with jingle sticks I was born in March 2024 and my foster home is close to Petsmart in North Wales.
I started life born to a feral mom and my siblings and I were kept outdoors in cages and under tarps to protect us from the weather. It was not an ideal situation for us to be living in. I did not see the sunshine until I was about 10 months old, For the past 9 months I have been living with my brother Biff in a nice house with our own cat tree and two windows so we can watch the birds. We are both still shy, but terribly sweet and I love to chase toys while my brother Biff watches my crazy antics. I have never been around children or dogs so I don’t know how I feel about them. I am very interested in all the other cats in my foster parents home. I would prefer a quiet environment preferably with my brother Biff as I bring him comfort. The first step is to complete an Application. Start at the Adoption page on our website - https://www.straycatblues.org/adoption-process
2.
Approve Application
You will be assigned an Adoption Representative who will review your application and check your vet and personal references.
3.
Meet the Pet
Once approved, we will set up a meet and greet for you with the cat(s) you are interested in.
4.
Sign Adoption Contract
Your Adoption Representative will go over paperwork with you. You will sign and then pay the Adoption Fee.
5.
Take the Pet Home
This is the best part! Take your new cat home!
Additional adoption info
During review of the application if you rent your home, we confirm with your landlord that you are allowed to have the cat per your lease.
We also consider if a particular cat is a good fit for your home. Certain cats will do better in homes without small children, or without other cats. Other cats may need to be adopted with a cat that they are bonded with. So we make sure that the cat and the home are a good match before completing an adoption.
Some of our fosters allow trial adoptions, where you would have 2-3 weeks to make sure that the cat being adopted was accepted by the other pets in your home. If you are interested in this, please ask your Adoption Representative.
All cats adopted from Stray Cat Blues have been screened for feline leukemia and FIV, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Additional vet work is completed for those cats that require additional care. Healthy, adoptable cats and kittens are then housed through our network of foster homes until they are adopted.
You are also welcome to come visit cats at our PetSmart Collegeville and PetSmart North Wales/Montgomeryville locations (see times for adoption showings). If you see a cat there that you like, you can complete an adoption application there in person.

Adoption Fees:
• $150 - Kittens up to one year of age
• $100 - For cats over one year and up to 7 years of age
• $70 - For cats 7 years of age and over.
All fees are subject to Pennsylvania's 6% sales tax and a minimum of $5 or 5% service fee.
Fees for cats with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.
