Reina
Female-spayed
1 year
26lbs
Terrier/Doberman mix
Reina came to NY from TN where she had spent her whole life in a shelter. She is slowly learning all the wonderful things a home has to offer and her personality is starting to shine!
crate trained
loves people/older kids
very friendly with dogs
not sure about cats but thinks she would be ok with them
learning to walk on a leash
rides well in a car
doing well with potty training
Reina is a sweet girl who’s a little shy but warms up once she feels safe. She loves to have her head and ears scratched and will gladly give you kisses in return. Sometimes Reina gets a little startled as she is not used to all the noises and objects in a home but she recovers well with some reassurance from her foster family. Reina sleeps in her crate at night without a peep and is content during the day when needed to be crated. She is learning how to potty outside and does well on a consistent schedule. She is also is very food motivated so it makes training easy and is easily redirected when needed. She responds when called and has mastered sit in no time. Reina’s favorite activity is playing tug of war with the dogs in her foster home, romping with her dog friends in the yard and napping on the couch with her foster family. She loves to chew on bones and tear stuffies apart! Reina is very respectful to all the dogs in her foster home and they have really helped her to learn what life is like in a home!
Reina is looking for her forever home to help her continue to thrive and leave the shelter life behind. She has so much love to give and will make a wonderful addition to a family, is that family yours?
If you are interested in Reina, please apply at the adoption link in the comments below or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved.
