My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Savanna can be described as: chunky; cute; tortieest torti with a velvet coat that truly needs to be seen and pet in-person to appreciate; happy and healthy; aloof, but also needs to be in the same room as her people/other cats in the home; energetic; playful and silly; perfect company; expert bird watcher; toe bean queen; queen of scritches; ear tufts of an owl; makes you feel like a million bucks when she presents her belly to you; dog aficionado; a cat's cat kind of girl.

Savanna needs to be met in-person to truly be appreciated and understood. She corrects her foster people with her mouth - she does not hurt, but corrects and communicates. Her foster mom is working with her to lessen this trait, and Savanna is responding positively.

Savanna would do best in a home with a family that will adore her for the queen she is and her be her - someone who will work with her to encourage positive traits (her foster family recommends her to an experienced cat owner with no small children).

Savanna was born around March 17, 2022, and is currently being fostered in Prospect. She is fixed, up-to-date on shots, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.

Applications for adoption can be found at our website at www.fosterandforever.org.

Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24-48 hours.

Meet the Pet

We are a foster-based rescue. All our cats reside in private homes. A meet-and-greet can be arranged for approved adopters only.

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.fosterandforever.org. If all is well on your application, we will contact you about setting up a home visit by one of our volunteers.

**Please give your vet permission to release information to us as we check references.

The adoption fee for our cats covers the cost of spaying/neutering, age appropriate routine vaccinations, deworming, snap test, and flea preventive treatment. Some of our older cats are offered at a reduced fee in order to encourage placement in a permanent home.

Thank you for your interest in adopting from Foster and Forever Pet Rescue!

NOTE: For the safety of our cats and adopter’s children, families with children under 5 years of age will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Go meet their pets

All of our pets reside in foster homes. We do not have a shelter. Once an application is approved (for any cat), arrangements can be made to meet the cat of your choice.

More about this rescue

Foster and Forever Pet Rescue Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue that was founded in 2011. We have been working since then to improve the lives of abandoned, abused and homeless animals by serving as an umbrella under which foster homes will provide care for homeless animals until loving permanent homes can be found.

We provide spay/neuter services and all necessary medical care, as well as food and supplies, and find foster homes to care for the animals we rescue until we are able to find them forever homes. For additional information, visit our web site at www.fosterandforever.org, and be sure to check us out on Facebook and Instagram.
