My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The best description of Chili is, wet noodle. He is long and lanky and stretches out as much as possible when sleeping. If you pick him up in this position, we will dangle, like a wet noodle. He is possibly one of the most unbothered cats his foster parents have ever met. Very little bothers him and it is possible that he has never had a bad day, or know what one is. He is an energetic and curious boy who loves to play and get attention. While he loves pets in the morning, he is not a big lap cat and likes to spend his days playing and watching the outside world from the top of a cat tree in a window. He will sneak into bed at night to lay next to you and cuddle with his brother and littermate, Beans, KRLA-A-85376. If he would like attention, he will let you know by chatting enthusiastically with you. Please don’t confuse this with his morning ritual of loudly asking for food, as you are emptying the can into his bowl.

Chili gets along well with cats, and definitely needs a playful cat friend. Unsure how he is with children, dogs, or other animals.

Likes:
• Spring cat toys
• His brother Beans
• Laying down right where you are about to step
• Wet food
• Belly rubs
• Plants – best to have them out of reach!

Dislikes:
• Having his nose cleaned
• Not much else, like we said, UNBOTHERED

Additional adoption info

We adopt animals to homes in the Los Angeles area and neighboring counties.

To help ensure that we place our cats in loving, responsible, committed homes, we have a screening process before you can adopt a pet from Kitten Rescue. We reserve the right to turn down potential adopters as we deem necessary. First, we ask that you complete our Adoption Questionnaire at kittenrescue.org/cat-adoption-form/. You can complete the form online or you may stop by a weekly adoption event to complete form in person. Second, a home visit or a home delivery of the cat or kitten is also required as part of our adoption process.

The Kitten Rescue adoption fee is $150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, and $100 for each additional kitten or cat to the same household ($250 if you adopt a pair). Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.

All of our cats have already been:
Spayed or neutered
Vaccinated – with at least one FVRCP vaccination
Treated for fleas
Dewormed
Tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia) and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus)
Microchipped

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
