Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We want to tell you about Sabrina's journey. Sabrina came to us in excruciating pain. She was found bleeding out on a sidewalk and was brought to the county shelter. She had a shattered right leg and her left leg was pulled away from her chest wall. She was sepsis at that point as well. We got the call and didn't hesitate. We rushed her to our "go to" vet, Dr. Bill Avra Forsyth Animal Hospital. The team cleaned her up, discovering many puncture wounds. When she woke up the first thing she did was eat and we knew she was going to recover. We brought her back to rescue so she could rest and decompress. We got an opinion on the left leg and the following week had the right leg removed and secured the left shoulder/leg to her body to hopefully heal. Within a few days she was up on the left leg and walking around. Sabrina is a miracle dog. After recovering from that surgery, another was on the horizon. We gave Sabrina about 6 weeks to heal from the right leg removal and scheduled her for spay and tumor removal. The tumor was cancer, but it is a low grade and slow growing. Sabrina is ready for her forever home now. Although she's young, at about 5 years old, she won't be an active girl as a tripod and the other front leg not 100%. She'll enjoy tooling around outside and spending time sitting near or in the lap of her person(s). Sabrina was attacked by something large to have shattered one leg and pulled the other from her body. We will never know how long the injury happened before she dragged herself to the sidewalk for help. The person that adopts Sabrina will be given so much love and loyalty. Sabrina is not just a special needs girl she's simply very, very, special.
