Penny has been through a lot in her short life, but her sweet spirit continues to shine. Since January of 2025, she was seen living outside a home in Anaheim always in the yard, never allowed indoors, while a dog lived comfortably inside. Our rescue has been helping cats in that area, and Penny was always there… patiently waiting.
We recently learned that Penny’s former owner moved out and heartbreakingly, Penny was left behind abandoned and no longer being fed. A kind neighbor stepped in and asked for us to take her into the rescue.
Since coming into our care in mid-May, Penny has shown us how gentle and loving she truly is. She enjoys being pet, seeks out human attention, and seems to know she belongs indoors with a family of her own. She’s calm, kind-hearted, and so deserving of a second chance.
We are currently seeking a foster, foster-to-adopt, or adoptive home for Penny, somewhere she can decompress, feel safe, and finally experience what it means to be truly loved. Penny will fill your home with quiet affection and bring peace to anyone lucky enough to welcome her in.
** Penny does cough once in a while. She has had diagnostic testing done and we believe she has asthma and/or seasonal allergies.

We do require an adoption fee to be paid at the time of adoption.
The adoption fee includes the following completed for your kitty (some are if needed):
Deworming
Parasite Treatment (Fleas/Ticks)
Vaccinations (FVRCP & Rabies)
Spayed/Neutered
Fecal Tested for Parasites (with negative results)
*** We also offer FeLV/FIV testing and the FeLV vaccine for cats.
The Purrty Pals is a cat rescue on a mission to rescue stray and neglected cats and kittens that live on the streets, live in unsuitable or unsafe conditions, and those most at risk of euthanasia in animal shelters. We provide them care through our foster program, improve their quality of life, and find them happy forever homes.
