My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Antonio at a Glance:
-Loves people and wants to connect with everyone he meets
-Has a soft spot for children and thrives on affection
-Enjoys time with dog friends
-Known for his sweet eyes and gentle personality
-Offers his paw as his way of saying “let’s be friends”

“Visit to our home, mostly cuddling and napping on the sofa with us. He’s very well-behaved and is quite happy to be endlessly petted for hours. It never gets old for Antonio. He also loves car rides so we traveled around the villages of CT.” – Tom, AFF Volunteer

Antonio came to us from NYC ACC and quickly became a favorite among staff and volunteers. His kind eyes, soft heart, and calm nature win people over the moment they meet him. He has a special way of making you feel seen and appreciated, often reaching out with his paw as if to say, “I’m here with you.”
He truly loves people, every single one he meets, and his joy shines brightest when he is surrounded by them. Children hold a special place in his heart, and he soaks up their laughter and affection with pure happiness. When he is not leaning in for hugs, he enjoys gentle playtime with his dog friends like Macho and Florence, rolling in the grass and sharing quiet moments together.
Antonio is the definition of a loving companion. He adores car rides, leisurely walks, and long naps by your side. He finds happiness in the simple things and has a gift for making every day feel full of warmth.

More about this rescue

Animal Farm Foundation gets to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Located in Dutchess County NY, AFF has been working nationally to secure equal treatment and opportunity for “pit bull” dogs since 1985.

OUR ORGANIZATION
Animal Farm Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation, has been rescuing and re-homing animals, as well as making grants to other humane organizations, since the mid-1980's.

We currently dedicate our resources to securing equal treatment and opportunity for "pit bull" dogs. Whether the dog is called a "pit bull" because of a documented pedigree, or merely on the basis of physical appearance, recognizing that these dogs are individuals for whom we are responsible is an integral step toward a compassionate future for all dogs.
