My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Macho at a Glance:
-Enjoys training and learning new things
-Loves playing with his dog friends
-Known for his binkie, frisbee skills, and silly personality
-Thriving in foster and becoming more affectionate every day
-A joyful, resilient dog who fills every day with fun and warmth

“Macho's a lovely roommate. After a long walk and a game of fetch, his happy place is cuddling on the couch. He loves treat training games and is a very focused worker. Macho sleeps curled up under my covers and is a respectful gentleman to his doggy foster siblings. When you meet Macho, he will be very excited and jump very high to kiss your face, something he is working hard on.” – Emily, AFF Staff and Foster

Macho came to us from NYC ACC and quickly showed what an unforgettable dog he is. Playful, smart, and full of heart, he has a way of making everyone around him smile. Whether he’s showing off his frisbee moves, snuggling under the covers, or carrying his favorite binkie around, Macho lives life with joy and enthusiasm.
In his foster home, he enjoys the company of his dog friends Ally and Artoo, and he has become the kind of dog who can make friends with just about anyone. He loves to learn and looks forward to training sessions, where his intelligence and eagerness to please really shine.
Macho’s story is one of growth and love. Through patience, training, and the chance to just be himself, he has become a confident, affectionate companion who brings laughter and comfort in equal measure.

More about this rescue

Animal Farm Foundation gets to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Located in Dutchess County NY, AFF has been working nationally to secure equal treatment and opportunity for “pit bull” dogs since 1985.

OUR ORGANIZATION
Animal Farm Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation, has been rescuing and re-homing animals, as well as making grants to other humane organizations, since the mid-1980's.

We currently dedicate our resources to securing equal treatment and opportunity for "pit bull" dogs. Whether the dog is called a "pit bull" because of a documented pedigree, or merely on the basis of physical appearance, recognizing that these dogs are individuals for whom we are responsible is an integral step toward a compassionate future for all dogs.
