My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

“Spent time sitting on his chaise lounge while he chewed on his big antler and one of his stuffy toys. We had a lot of fun together.” – Kathleen, AFF Volunteer

Nemo came to us from Palm Beach Animal Care and Control, arriving with his favorite toys packed by a Florida foster family who adored him. It was clear right away that this boy is one of a kind.
He is adorable, and he absolutely knows it. But there is more to Nemo than his big eyes and sweet face. He lights up around people, dives into water with pure joy, and proudly parades his stuffed toys before turning them into confetti. One of our staff lovingly calls him “the baby” because he loves being held like one, soaking up all the attention he can get.
Nemo is a people dog through and through. He has a few dog friends, but his dream day is having people gathered around him, giving him all the love and admiration he deserves. During a recent sleepover, he showed off his good manners, proving he is house-trained, gentle, and perfectly content just spending time with his person. His stuffy nose from allergies gives him the cutest little snore when he naps, and his calm presence makes any room feel more relaxed.
Nemo is the kind of dog who makes you smile just by being near. His playful charm, love of people, and big heart make him impossible to forget.

Nemo at a Glance:
-Loves people and thrives on attention
-Has a few dog friends, but prefers people as his inner circle
-Enjoys toys, water play, and cozy naps
-Known for his adorable snore from mild allergies

More about this rescue

Animal Farm Foundation gets to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Located in Dutchess County NY, AFF has been working nationally to secure equal treatment and opportunity for “pit bull” dogs since 1985.

OUR ORGANIZATION
Animal Farm Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation, has been rescuing and re-homing animals, as well as making grants to other humane organizations, since the mid-1980's.

We currently dedicate our resources to securing equal treatment and opportunity for "pit bull" dogs. Whether the dog is called a "pit bull" because of a documented pedigree, or merely on the basis of physical appearance, recognizing that these dogs are individuals for whom we are responsible is an integral step toward a compassionate future for all dogs.
