My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

With her earless look and striking coat, Pisa is as unique as the city she’s named after. And much like the medieval sailors of Pisa’s maritime past, this kitty’s journey hasn’t been easy. Pisa survived a form of skin cancer, which required the removal of her ear pinnas. Now cancer-free, this cautious calico carries her past with quiet strength and resilience.

Unlike the famous Italian bell tower, Pisa’s foundation is steady. Her trust, however, is still under construction. Pisa got her start in an outdoor cat colony, where she learned to navigate the world on her own terms. While she enjoys the company of other cats, Pisa is still unsure about people. She prefers to observe from a safe distance rather than seek attention, but with time and patience, Pisa may start leaning your way.

Pisa would do well as a solo cat or in a home with FeLV+ feline friends. She needs a calm, patient adopter who understands that trust takes time—like the careful restoration of the Leaning Tower. With kindness and patience, Pisa may one day discover that humans aren’t so scary after all. Could you be the one to help Pisa find her footing? Fill out an adoption application today!

Additional adoption info

For an adoption fee of $150, you will take home a cat that has received the very best medical care and evaluation. Every cat that leaves Tabby’s Place has been thoroughly examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FeLV and FIV, and treated for parasites.

We are currently offering two methods of adoption meetings:
1. Adopters can meet cats in person between 2-5PM daily. Appointments are strongly recommended, but we will make every effort to accommodate walk-ins where possible. Most cats and some select kittens are available for in-person meetings.

2. Adopters can meet cats and kittens via video meeting between 10:00AM-5:00PM daily by appointment only and subject to availability. Kittens in foster homes are only available for video adoption meetings.

Get started now by completing our online application. One or our adoption counselors will then contact you within 48 hours.
