My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

In 1963 and again in 1993, moviegoers were charmed by two daring dogs and their kitty companion, a pampered pet named Sassy. And while our Sassy is calico rather than Himalayan—and more shy than saucy—one thing is certain: her Incredible Journey has only one possible ending. This tricolored treasure is definitely Homeward Bound.

Sassy once had a happy, indoor home. Sadly, her beloved person became unable to care for her and turned to Tabby’s Place for help. Sassy now resides in Suite B, where she has a front-row seat to all of the sanctuary’s happenings. Although she enjoys overhearing the latest feline gossip (Rori sat on what?!), Sassy is less interested in the humans around her. While she was very sweet with her owner, Sassy hasn’t taken the transition to shelter life easily. She is still nervous around new people, but Sassy isn’t aggressive—if you go slowly, she will accept some pets.

Sassy gets along well with other cats and would be happy in a multi-cat family. But most importantly, she needs a peaceful environment and a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. Sassy will thrive with someone who is willing to let her set the pace.

With gentle encouragement, Sassy has the potential to rediscover the comforts of a loving home—could you be the one to help this bashful beauty find her way? Fill out an adoption application today!

Additional adoption info

For an adoption fee of $150, you will take home a cat that has received the very best medical care and evaluation. Every cat that leaves Tabby’s Place has been thoroughly examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FeLV and FIV, and treated for parasites.

We are currently offering two methods of adoption meetings:
1. Adopters can meet cats in person between 2-5PM daily. Appointments are strongly recommended, but we will make every effort to accommodate walk-ins where possible. Most cats and some select kittens are available for in-person meetings.

2. Adopters can meet cats and kittens via video meeting between 10:00AM-5:00PM daily by appointment only and subject to availability. Kittens in foster homes are only available for video adoption meetings.

Get started now by completing our online application. One or our adoption counselors will then contact you within 48 hours.
