He loves rope and squeaky toys, enjoys playing with his handler, and has even been social and friendly with other dogs. Sugar knows his basic cues like sit and down and walks nicely on leash. He’s sweet and affectionate with people he trusts, though he can be a bit shy at first, especially with men, but warms up quickly once he feels safe. Sugar will need an adult-only home that can manage his resource guarding around food, and help him continue building positive associations through training and patience. Sugar previously lived with cats and was playful with them, showing he can be a wonderful companion with the right match.
