My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NAME:
Piper Pixie, Swiper

STATS:
Female, Chihuahua, 12 years, 6 lbs.

TEMPERAMENT:
Shy at first and warms up.
Shows fear of men
Shows fear of women
Piper is very calm, spends her time sleeping and wandering about. She is fearful of people and big dogs when on a walk.

SKILLS
Potty trained.
Crate trained.
Has not been exposed to children.
Has not been exposed to cats.
Piper enjoys a slow walk, smelling things and such. She has not met any kids, but shows fear of people when out on walks. She will warm up to people very slowly.

MORE ABOUT ME:
Couch cuddler.
Likes walks.
Piper has very few teeth and needs soft food
She would be fine on her own or with another dog

ONE LAST THING:
Piper is very mellow, sweet, and wants to eat and lounge. She likes to be petted, and then wander along. She loves to sleep under the covers, and loves a good daily walk (gets very excited when she knows she's going out :) she is older and not super playful, but has some spunk in her.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home abandoned, abused, stray and neglected animals, primarily from high-kill shelters. We collaborate with other rescue groups and animal shelters to improve the lives of animals at risk for euthanisia. We work to provide solutions which seek to end the animal over-population and educate people to be responsible pet owners and "fur-ever guardians."
