Meet Wilder!
This sweet soul is a two year old, 43 pound foxhound mix with a gentle heart and a wagging tail, who is ready to meet his forever family.
Wilder is house and crate trained and gets along beautifully with other dogs (big and small), as well as with cats. He enjoys meeting and playing with other dogs. He would love to live with another dog that he could bond with and play. At night, Wilder is very quiet in his crate, so he won't disturb your sleep! Wilder loves taking walks, getting pets on the couch, following his foster mom around, playing with dog toys, and chewing on bones.
Wilder came to the rescue quite nervous, but has come a long way since then. He still has some nervousness and will need an adopter that is understanding and will work with him. Wilder is ready to be your new best friend!
If you are interested in adopting Wilder, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.
**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
