Meet Willowdean!

Willowdean’s journey began as a stray, and HARTT was actively working to trap her and get her off the streets. However, before they could bring her in, an independent trapper trapped her and took her to county. With no notes or background information, Willowdean’s status at county was uncertain.

Thankfully, HARTT continued to monitor her situation and learned that she wasn’t transitioning well — showing signs of fear and stress during intake evaluations. When they realized she needed help, they reached out to us to ensure Willowdean would have a safe place to land. 🙏🏼

Willowdean is still settling in at boarding, slowly but surely showing us how great of a girl she is. She’s a dream on leash, loving to talk her walks at her leisure. She’s shy but sweet as can be, slowly warming up to volunteers — especially if you have some tasty treats. Her walls are coming down and we can’t wait to see her fully blossom!

This interest application is how you tell us about yourself and which dog(s) you want to know more about.

Interview

We will give you a call to find the best match and set up a meet and greet with the dog(s) your interested in meeting.

Meet the Pet

We hope this is when you meet your new best friend and fall in love.

4.
Home Check

We bring the dog to your home. This is when we do intros with resident pets (dog intros).

Sign Adoption Contract

Pay Fee

Our dogs are vetted, spayed/neutered, current on shots, and microchipped. This fee helps us cover these costs as well as save future dogs.

More about this rescue

We are a group of volunteers that have worked in the rescue community in AZ for many years and are coming together to help fill a void in our rescue community. We care as much about the people as well as the dogs and want to keep giving each paw a hand until the shelters are empty. We will also provide resources for our community for people to try and keep their pet rather than surrendering them. We want to find the right fit for the people by taking a dog out of the shelter rather than making a dog fit for the people.
