Meet Honeydew!

Honeydew came to HART when she was very pregnant. She had been living outside and was being fed by several families in the area so she was very friendly and liked people.

She was in her foster home for 2 weeks before she gave birth to a big litter of 7 healthy kittens! Honeydew is the best mama cat and took amazing care of them! They are bigger now and so she is ready to move on to her next adventure.

Honeydew is a very affectionate cat! She just loves being near people and getting loved on. She is very playful and loves chasing a wand toy around! We don’t know her age, but the vet estimates about 3 yrs old.

Honeydew is good with other friendly cats but she’s not so sure about dogs. When her kittens were tiny she was very protective of them and dogs were seen as a threat. Since the kittens are older, she has been a bit more accepting of the large dog that lives in the foster home, but she is still weary. I think with a proper introduction she could be fine with a calm dog who is friendly to cats.

She is such a great cat and she can’t wait to find a great family!
