Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Looking for a loyal, high-energy companion who’s always up for fun? Meet Sargeant - Sarge for short - a handsome German Shepherd/Akita mix with brains, brawn, and a heart full of love.
Sarge is playful, smart, and eager to please. He’s full of youthful energy and loves staying active, whether it’s exploring the yard, learning new cues, or just bouncing around with excitement. He’s still figuring out what toys are all about, but soft stuffies are currently his favorite—especially if he gets to carry them around proudly!
He’s doing very well with house training, is crate trained, and is working hard on leash manners. Just be warned: beds inside his crate don’t stand a chance when he’s feeling extra playful—he likes to redecorate in fluff.
Sarge is neutered, up to date on his rabies vaccine, and currently weighs about 75 pounds—with a bit more growing to do. He would thrive in an active home committed to ongoing training and giving him the structure (and snuggles) he craves.

More about this rescue
We are a non-profit animal rescue group.
We started out as just a fund, at our local vet, to help pay for operations, etc. for animals in need. Now we rescue animals in need: injured, sick, old, or dying. We give them a second chance and the best life we can until a forever home can be found. We take animals most other rescues turn down because we believe all life is worth our efforts.
Our organization is all volunteer and foster based, because we do not have a shelter. We do not euthanize our animals to make room for more. We run totally on donations and are willing to take any type [money, food, toys, bedding, crates, etc.]. Donations can be mailed to PO Box 2371, Marion NC 28752.
